This guide establishes consistent formatting and writing standards for CreatorPedia (cP) articles.
The "creatorPedia" Capitalization Rule
creatorPedia is intentionally spelled with a lowercase "c" and uppercase "P"—even at the beginning of a sentence, paragraph, or article title.
- Correct: creatorPedia
- Incorrect: CreatorPedia, Creatorpedia, CreatorPedia
This is not a typographical error. It is deliberate branding that mirrors the visual language of the cP logo:
- c (lowercase) — The crescent moon. Humble, approachable, representing the partial visibility of creators. cP is built by fans, not gatekeepers.
- P (uppercase) — The quill. Authoritative, permanent, encyclopedic. cP content meets rigorous standards.
When abbreviated as cP, the letters themselves project the logo's core symbolism: the crescent (c) and the vertical stroke of the quill (P).
In Practice:
- Article titles: "Prof GehGeh — creatorPedia"
- In sentences: "According to creatorPedia guidelines..."
- Beginning of paragraphs: "creatorPedia was founded to..."
This rule applies across all official cP communications, articles, policies, and public-facing materials.
Article Titles
- Use the creator's verified moniker from their most authoritative platform
- If the creator meets notability standards but lacks a unique moniker, use their username without the "@" from the platform with the most followers
- Capitalize major words (title case)
- Avoid honorifics (Mr, Dr) unless part of the professional identity
Example: "Prof GehGeh" not "Emmanuel Obruste"
Article Titles
- Use the creator's verified moniker from their most authoritative platform
- If the creator meets notability standards but lacks a unique moniker, use their username without the "@" from the platform with the most followers
- Capitalize major words (title case)
- Avoid honorifics (Mr, Dr) unless part of the professional identity
Example: "Prof GehGeh" not "Emmanuel Obruste"
First Sentence (Lead)
The first sentence should state:
- Creator's real name
- Date of birth (if publicly known and relevant)
- Most notable moniker (which is also the article title)
- Nationality
- Primary occupation(s)
Example: "Emmanuel Obruste (born 30 January 1995), professionally known as Prof GehGeh, is a Nigerian digital content creator, social commentator, and online personality."
Creators vs. Brands Separation Rule
When to create separate pages:
- Create separate pages only when you can write at least 2,000 words about each individual
- For duos or groups (e.g., Skinnycomics), the brand gets the main article
- Within the brand article, create detailed sub-headings for individual members
- Create redirect pages for real names pointing to the brand article
Exception: If a creator IS the brand (e.g., Prof GehGeh and "Geh Geh University"), create one unified article under the creator's real name or primary verified moniker, with the brand as a major section.
Multiple Monikers
For creators with multiple monikers, list all monikers in the "Other Names" section of their infobox.
Article Structure
Articles should generally follow this order:
- Lead section (no heading)
- Infobox (right-aligned)
- Early Life and Background
- Career and Rise to Fame
- (Subsections: specific shows, platforms, eras)
- Wealth and Business Ventures
- Controversies (if applicable)
- Digital Footprint (social media stats table)
- References
- External links (official channels only)
Neutral Point of View
Write neutrally. Avoid:
- Opinion words ("amazing," "terrible," "unfortunately")
- Unattributed praise or criticism
- Weasel words ("some say," "many believe")
Example:
- ❌ "GehGeh's hilarious content has taken TikTok by storm."
- ✅ "GehGeh rose to prominence on TikTok for relationship and financial advice content."
Tense
- Biographical articles: Past tense for completed events, present tense for ongoing situations
- "He released the single in 2025." (past)
- "He resides in Lagos." (present)
Numbers and Dates
- Write out numbers one through nine; use numerals for 10 and above
- Use day month year format: "30 January 1995"
- Net worth: "Estimated N100B+ ($10M+)" (use the creator local currency first before converting to a major currency in parenthesis, no periods in currency)
Outbound Link Rule
No outbound links outside of citations or reference sections. External links should only appear in:
- References (citations)
- The "External links" section (official channels only)
This prevents link rot and maintains encyclopedic integrity.
Citations
- Place citations immediately after the statement they support
- Use
tags - Add
reflistunder References heading - Acceptable sources are defined in Creatorpedia:Verification Standards
Infobox
Single Master Template Rule: Do not create multiple infobox templates. cP uses ONE master template: Infobox creator.
Inside the template, use parameters like |creator_type=comedian to automatically adjust styling. This keeps the backend clean and maintainable.
- Image should be a clear headshot or promotional photo
- Fill all available fields; leave blank if unknown
- Multiple monikers go in the "Other Names" field
Categories
Add at bottom of every article:
- Nationality (e.g.,
) - Primary platform (e.g.,
) - Genre (e.g.,
)
